Your Privacy

IRCplus+ will never share, sell, or distribute any of our users personal or account information. Information given to IRCplus+ during registration or profile updates will never be shared, sold, or distributed. IRCplus+ may occasionally send you e-mails related to IRCplus+ and/or it’s Services, but will never reveal your e-mail or contact information to outside sources. You may unsubscribe from IRCplus+ emails by requesting your account be closed at support@IRCplus.net.

Data Retention

IRCplus+ collects and uses certain information about users in order to provide services and enable certain functions.

IRCplus+ may collect the following information:

  • Username/Account
  • E-mail address
  • IP address/hostname
  • Channel Conversations (TheLounge or ZNC)
  • Private Conversations (TheLounge or ZNC)
  • Server Notices (TheLounge or ZNC)

Collecting the above data helps IRCplus+ deliver its services to you.

Specifically, IRCplus+ may use data:

  • To provide the provided services.
  • To enable you to reset your password/recover your account.
  • To verify you, before making account changes or changes to your account(s).
  • To contact you in relation to IRCplus+ services or important communications.

We retain all account information and data indefinitely unless a user deletes their account, in which case the data is purged from our systems in accordance with our general data retention policy of thirty (30) days. We retain login activity for a period of thirty (30) days after which the data is purged from our system.

Disclosure & Use of Personal Information
IRCplus+ may be required to provide your personal information to law enforcement in the event of a criminal investigation, criminal prosecution, or civil subpoena. IRCplus+ will comply with legal instruments that follow proper procedure and are sufficiently narrow in their scope as to not infringe on the civil liberties of others.

IRCplus+ Website: Cookies help to remember your site preferences, such as language preference.  Our cookies do not include any personal information, or information that can identify you.

 

IRC Privacy

TheLounge – TheLounge logs your channel and private messages so that it may provide the scrollback data to you as you login.  The log functionality can be turned off at the time of account creation; but then scrollback and any messages missed since you last logged in, will be unavailable.

ZNC – ZNC (if enabled by the user) logs your channel and private messages so that it may provide the buffer scrollback data to you as you login.  The log functionality can be turned off at any time by logging into the web-based administration console with your ZNC account login.

IRCplus+ Staff does not read or use it’s users logs or data.  There may be cases where (due to abuse of the account) IRCplus+ staff scan the logs to corroborate abuse reports, however IRCplus+ and it’s Staff cannot release any information contained therein.
